Show Large Group Arraigned In Monb City Court Ariaie'nment was held in Moab City Court Fii-day Fii-day for seventeen person-; who had been charged with being- present where drugs are being used. Those who appeared were represented by Attorney Frank Gustin of Salt Lake City, who entered a plea el' not guilty for all his clients. Three of the adults arrested ar-rested in the group raid a week ago did not appear, Hubert Ossana, Dennis Bailey and Ken Hoffman. Ossana appeared in court on Monday and stated that Gustin would also be re;;, resenting him. Bailey could not be summoned since he lived outside the county. A warrent for his arrest has been issued. Hoffman appeared on Monday and stated thnt he would represent himself him-self and he, as was the case with all the others, was released on his own re., ogn zance. On Wednesday, a motion to quash the complaint was received from Attorney Attor-ney Gustin. The attorney a'.so requested a bill of partk-'ilars which asks for a definite description of the place where druiis were alle.lgedly be ng used, the names of the person or persons using drugs, the names of the person or persons smoking drugs. This motion was based on the grounds that his clients cli-ents could not prepare a proper defense without these descriptions. A hearing hear-ing on these motions has been set for April 22. A complaint was filed against Lee Chambers Friday Fri-day in connection with this same incident. He appeared ap-peared and entered a plea of not guilty and inform- ed the court that his attorney at-torney would be Frank Gu-U.ln. Since he planned to leave town, he was ordered or-dered to pay a cash bond of $250. In other business before the court, on April 1-, Morris L. Wil'.marth of Denver, Colorado appeared appear-ed and plead guilty to a charge of DWI. He was fined ?250 or -10 days in jail. |
