Show Letter by Local 6tii-Grader Brings Art Exhibit to Moab As a result of a letter from Donald Patterson, a sixth grade student at Southeast Elementary School in Helen Madsen's class a demonstration on atomic energy has been scheduled for presentation1 at the Junior High School. Donald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. "Pat" Patterson. Pat-terson. " ;' Students in Mrs. Mad-sen's Mad-sen's class were asked to write letters to various agencies in government asking for demonstrations about functions of the agencies. ag-encies. The Atomic Energy Ener-gy Commission answered the letter and by virtue of its receipt will be in Moab on April 28. The program, entitled "This Atomic World" is designed de-signed to acquaint stud-, ents with the basic principles princi-ples of nuclear energy, its ' sources, and its role in agriculture, ag-riculture, industry, medicine medi-cine and research. The program is operated operat-ed by Oak Ridge Associated Universities, which conducts con-ducts the natinowide exhibits ex-hibits program of the Atomic At-omic Energy Commission. It is one of 20 similar units un-its appearing daily at higli schools throughout the country. |
