Show One Trooper Leaving, One j Coming to Moab District V I Highway Patrol Sergeant lj .Don Proctor reported this i .veei that Trooper Ron Wood is lis transferring to District M in Tooele as of March 22. J ::: t ' Trooper Wood has been in Moab, District L, 5 years J transferring here from Monti-cello Monti-cello where he was stationed one year. Trooper Lairy Jacobs, former Moabite and son of Betty Jacobs, will transfer here from District C, Salt Lake City, also effective March 22. He has been with the Patrol since July 1975. Sgt. Proctor also announced that a Police Science Class under the sponsorship of Weber State College will begin here in the near future. The class will focus on crimes against property, dealing with the new criminal code. It will be held Thursday evenings, offering 3 hours of college credit to anyone interested. Trooper John Kimball investigated inves-tigated and accident March 14 about 3 miles east of Thompson Thomp-son on 1-70. Donald Stroup, 41, Grand Junction, was east-bound east-bound in a 1970 Chevrolet Malibu. He apparently went to sleep and drove off the right side of the road, hitting a drainage culvert. The car was totaled and Stroup was brought to Allen Memorial ' Hospital by the Grand County Ambulance with possible internal in-ternal injuries. He was cited for driving while intoxicated. |
