' Couple Wed Aug. 5 In Church Rites Wedding ceremonies on Aug. 5, united Sandy Walden daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Holly Walden of Moab and Alan Norton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Norton. The service ser-vice was in the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Hall officiating. Attired in a floor length gown of bridal satin overlaid with lace, the bride was given giv-en in marriage by her father. fa-ther. The wedding gown was . designed and made by the bride and featured a high neckline and long fitted lace sleeves. Her veil of bridal illusion fell from a lace covered cov-ered headpiece and was accented ac-cented with lace roses. She carried a bouquet of laven- . dar glamelias. . . . 'T, Attending the bride as maid of honor was Sheryl- Norton, who wore a floor length Iav-endar Iav-endar gown of embossed satin. sa-tin. She carried a lavendar dahlia bouquet Bridesmaids were Kathy Bell and Debbie Westwood, who wore street length lavendar lav-endar gowns of embossed satin sa-tin and high necklines. Their bouquets were also of lavendar laven-dar dahlias. , Lynn Kopman performed duties as best man while Phil and Greg Martin served serv-ed as groomsmen. Ushers for the service were Ray Walden, brother of the bride, and David Christensen. ' A reception honoring the couple was held immediately following the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church with decorations of lavendar and white streamers carrying out the bride's color scheme. Lavendar and white candles were used as centerpieces center-pieces on the serving tables. The bride's cake was a four tier confection decorated decorat-ed in lavendar and white with rosebuds and sweet peas. It was topped with a miniature bride and groam. In charge of the guest book was Charlotte Walden with Jama Evans, Lynn Christensen Christen-sen and Terry Norton serving serv-ing refreshments. The mothers of the young couple were each attired in . lavendar double knit ensembles ensem-bles and wore corsages . of lavendar dahlias as they greeted guests. After a honeymoon i to the San Luis Valley in Colorado the couple returned to Moab to make their home. , |
