Show Utah Gains Revenues From BLM Of 25 states that received more than $31 million from the Bureau of Land Management Manage-ment for their share of mineral min-eral leasing revenues, grazing graz-ing leases and sales of public pub-lic lands during the six mon-the mon-the period that ended June 30, Utah's check was fifth, largest. According to information received by Robert D. Niel-son, Niel-son, BLM state director for Utah, from Washington D. C. Utah's check totaled $2,161, 572.22. The announcement was made by Secretary of the Interior Rogers C. B Morton, who said' the checlcs were mailed Friday. Each state having public lands receives semi-annual payments for its share of federal revenues collected from those public lands for mineral leasing bonuses, rentals and royalties. The largest check for the six-month period was Wy9-ming Wy9-ming for $11,835,335.65. New Mexico received $7,371,807.38 Alaska, $2,995,109.12; and Colorado $2,230,549.31. Amounts Am-ounts received by other sta-- sta-- tes in the intermountain area ar-ea were' Arizona, $179,229.81; Idaho, $165,684.11; Montana, $1,469,484.63, and Nevada, $272,458.75. |
