Galko and Griffin were fined $200 each and 60 days in jail and Bird was released on $100 bail. Three juveniles were picked pick-ed up by Trooper Bill Pectol on Aug. 14, and charged with interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle. The youngsters, young-sters, Mike Larsen, 14; John Bowers, 14; and Pat Roda-grade, Roda-grade, 14; were all from Bloomington, Minn. The car was reported stolen on Sunday Sun-day and was a 1963 Volkswagen Volks-wagen belonging to Mrs. Elaine Cosgrove. On Aug. 12, Wood arrested Bradley Jon Scavey, 18, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance. iTe entered a plea of guilty in Moab City Court and was fined $100 or 60 days in jail, with the jail sentence suspended sus-pended upon payment of Cj fine. On Aug. 9, Trooper Pectol arrested Fred Forbing, 16 and Patrick Fyfe, 16, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana and charged them with possession of alcohol and marijuana. They each posted bail of $100 and were released. The car, a 1965 Chevrolet was impounded to the State Department De-partment of Finance for transportation of narcotics. Trooper Melvin Schiffman arrested Roger Morton, 19, of Spring City, Utah on Aug. 11, on charges of stealing an automobile. Morgan was arrested ar-rested near Crescent Junction Junc-tion driving a 1964 Chevrolet which had been stolen from Elwood Strate of Spring City. Sanpete County authorities set bail at $1,000 and were to be in Moab Monday afternoon after-noon to pick up Morgan and return him for trial. |
