Show Services held i for auto accident victim Funeral services were held 1 in the First Baptist Church on Oct. 18 for Claude Shelton Poteet, who died in a traffic accident Oct. 15, 1977, near J . Woodside, Ut., while on his i way to a National Guard 1 meeting in Price. 1 Born Dec. 4, 1957 in Garden Grove, Ca., to Floyd E. and i Bonnie Gilbert Poteet, he 1 graduated from Duchesne High School in 1976. While a i student there he participated 1 in athletics, including wrest- , ling, track and field. He held i the Utah State record for the 1 100-yard dash. I His family moved to Moab i from Duchesne IV2 years ago, and Claude was employed here by I. W. Industries. He joined the Utah National Guard in 1975 and was a j private in rank in the En-1 En-1 gineer Battalion. 1 Survivors include parents, , 3 brothers, Floyd Ray, Milan, 1 N.M.; James Carl, Garden 1 Grove, Ca.; and Robert Eu- . gene, Healdton, Okla.; 2 sis- ' ters, Leanna D. Ken Matthews, 1 Healdton, Okla. , Services were under the 1 direction of Rev. Ron Parker 1 with military graveside ser- ! vices at Sunset Memorial 1 Cemetery by the Utah Na- ' tional Guard and interment 1 under direction of Hefner's 1 Funeral Home.
