Show Flu vaccine being recommended in Utah The Utah Department of Social Services' Division of Health strongly recommends influenza vaccine for some adults and children with medical med-ical conditions. According to Dr. Taira Fu-kushima, Fu-kushima, Deputy Director of Health for the Bureau of Disease Control, vaccines should be given to adults and children who have chronic conditions such as heart disease dis-ease and bronchopulmonary diseases such as chronic bronchiectasis, bron-chiectasis, tuberculosis, emphysema em-physema and cystic fibrosis. The vaccination is also recommended rec-ommended for those with chronic renal disease, diabetes diabe-tes mellitus and other chronic metabolic disorders.
