Show Thompson News Notes Virginia Gruver By Betty Jeffries Friday found the Wimmer family from Crescent Junction on the road for the game in Salt Lake City. After the game Friday they continued on their way to Nevada to pick up one of their horses. Sunday all came home safe and sound, after a full weekend and many miles traveled. Tuesday, the 11th of November, Nov-ember, found two visitors at the Jeffries. Tom Perkins came home from his 3 year army tour duty of Germany. He brought with him a friend called Skee. Wednesday Betty Jeffries and Tom took Skee to Grand Junction, Colorado to catch a plane to Portland, Oregon. Tom left Monday, the 17th, for a week trip that will take in Phoenix and Tuson, Arizona, then on to Las Vegas, Nevada before returning to Thompson for a week. Friday evening the Jeffries oldest son Jim Jeffries and family from Fruita, Colorado came by on thier way to Moab to spend the night with Jim's sister and family (Judy Swink). Saturday evening Jim returned with family to spend the night with the Jeffries in Thompson. Sunday Judy and Don Swink and two boys came out to Thompson and all had a family day ending in a family dinner for 14. Visitors for the weekend at George and Sadie Duto's were Ida Wilcox and daughter Debbie. Also, Ida's oldest daughter and her husband Diane and Guy Manspeaker. Sadie's mother, Mrs. Phillips, was visiting also. All were from Grand Junction, Colo. |
