Show Utah Oil-Gas Activities Listed for Week A third exploratory test well is to be drilled near the Bonneville Salt Flats, southeast south-east of Wendover in Tooele County, notes Carlton Stowe, minerals specialist, Utah Geological Geo-logical & Mineral Survey. Alpha Minerals Company of Westport, Conneticut, announced an-nounced this week they plan to drill the NO. 3 Government (section 34, township Is, range 17w). It is less than a quarter of a mile west of the No. 1 Government and about a mile northwest of the No. 2 Government. Berge Exploration Explora-tion of Salt Lake City is handling the operations for the firm. All three wells ar scheduled to depths of at leas 2.500 feet. Meanwhile, the first drilling to be done since 1968 in Elk( County, Nevada, will begir shortly. Shell Oil Compan; plans to drill a projected 6,50 foot test at their No. 1 Goshutc. Th No. 1-23 A-4 Ames flowed 45' barrels of oil and 387,000 cubit feet of gas per day from i depth of 16,600 fect. and the No. 218 A-3 Ute flowed 191 barrels of oil and 395,000 cubi feel of gas daily from 16,65( fect. Koch Exploration, Den vcr, also completed a producei in the area at No. 5 Sink Draw pumping 248 barrels of oil pel dav from 11.2(H) feci. |
