Show Moab Cowhands Place High In Rodeo Roy Krist, Carolyn Dalton and Brenda Boyd all placed high in the final standings of the Mountain West Youth Quarter Horse Association at the end of the 1975 show season. They were among a group of young people honored Nov. 15 at the association's year end banquet held at the Cafe Caravan in Grand Junction, where they received awards. Roy Krist, competing in the senior division, received the following awards: 7th place high point senior; 5th place showmanship; 3rd place western wes-tern horsemanship; 4th place western pleasure; 3rd place western riding; 2nd place reining: 4th place trail; 2nd place barrels; 1st place poles: and 2nd place breakaway roping. Roy earned 80 points during the season. Carolyn Dalton. also competing com-peting in the senior division, placed as follows: 5th place western riding; 3rd place barrels; and 3rd place poles, for a total of 9 points in the season. Brenda Boyd, competing in the junior division, received the following awards: St h place showmanship; 5th plact western horsemanship; 5tr place western riding; and 3rc place barrels. She earned 31 points in the 1975 season. |
