Two would be almost too much for a family to cope with but THREE-- Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Ekker of Hanksville have just that--three beautiful beauti-ful daughters all in the state finals to be held June 15-16-17 at theRa-mada theRa-mada Inn in Salt Lake City. Jesse manages a mining company on the Henry Mountains, and Barbara is Weather Observer Ob-server for HanksviLle, a round-the-clock assignment. as-signment. She does a great deal of community service work, being involved in-volved at present with the Medical Clinic in Hanksville. The girls are all blondes, each quite beautiful beau-tiful in her own way. Neva is the oldest: she is 17, a Junior at Wayne High School in Bicknell. She has appeared as a nun in the "Sound of Music" and helped win the re- gional musical competition compe-tition with the singing nuns of that production at Richfield. The group is scheduled for state competition later. Neva is an officer in Pep Club, and was elected elect-ed recently to be next year's drill master. She is an officer in the Laurel Laur-el group at MIA, is a staff officer on the High School newspaper, and Student Body Advertising Advertis-ing manager this year. She works after school and weekends at the Poor Boy Cafe. She often sings solos at wedding receptions recep-tions and church functions. func-tions. Rita Ann is 16 and a Sophomore at Wayne High. She is presently a cheerleader, an officer in the Foreign Language Club, a former class treasurer. She recently completed a 60 mile bike trip for the March of Dimes Foundation in which eleven young people peo-ple participated.
