Show Park Service Officials Will Inspect New Rood Bates Wilson, superintend-dent superintend-dent of Canyonlands National Nation-al Park, and officials from the Bureau of Public Roads will be conducting a pre-fin-al inspection of theapproach road into the Needles section sec-tion of Canyonlands Nation-- Nation-- a -.Park. Superintendent Wilson stalled stal-led that the road is substantially substan-tially done including improvements impro-vements made after the rain last summer. The only work needed to finish the road is protective work and fencing. The officials inspecting the. road will have one week allotted al-lotted for this trip. After they have looked at the pre sent road and drainages, they will spend the rest of the time on reconalssance of the proposed route from Squaw Flat to the proposed overlook of the Confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers. Ri-vers. According to Superintendent Superintend-ent Wilson, the Chief Land-swipe Land-swipe Architect for the Park Service from' San Francisco, California, Mr. Ed Clancy, will be present for the tour. From the Bureau of Public Roads, Denver, Colorado, will be Mr. Bleakman, and from the division office of the Bureau will be; Mr. Richard Stack and possibly Mr. Art Johnson. |
