Show Spanish Valley Residents Withdraw From District Grand County Commissioners Commission-ers accepted a petition Monday Mon-day from Elmer Dravag2 and John Brown who along with 9 others asked that they be excluded from the Spanish Span-ish Valley Water Improvement Improve-ment District. If included in this Improvement District, these people would be served serv-ed by the City Water system and would no longer be using us-ing their wells. Since their petition was honored by the Commissioners, Commission-ers, the resolution proposing that the Commission accept the creation of the Spanish Valley Water Improvement District as ammended was passed, with all present in agreement. Cecil Shaffer, building inspector in-spector presented the Commission Com-mission with some operational opera-tional plans he bad prepared prepar-ed for the repairs on the airport air-port terminal building. The commission then accepted these plans but action concerning con-cerning this matter was still questionable on Monday. A check for $330 was authorized au-thorized by the commission for Moab Museum for operations. oper-ations. Russ Donoghue, President Pres-ident of the Board of Directors Direc-tors of the Museum said that the museum will present a budget to the Commissioners Commission-ers for 1970 monies. Joe Eaton, a community Action Program employee who is working with the teen center and the possibility possi-bility of using candy stripers strip-ers in the hospital. A final item of business was the presentation to the commission by Harold Gai-thor Gai-thor of an advertising program pro-gram which would be handl ed by Snarr Advertising. The promotion which would consist of two signs 50 feet long and one sign 40 feet long, would cost $152, and would be placed at about 3-4 3-4 hours driving time from Moab. No action was taken on this proposal by the commission com-mission who stated that the County's advertising is now being handled by Ross Jurn-ey Jurn-ey Associates of Salt Lake. |
