Show Services Held in Colorado for Mrs. L Gibson Funeral services were held in Delta, Colorado Sunday for Mrs. Lloyd Gibson, 61,. well known in Mcab, ,w'no died in Delta Friday following follow-ing a short illness. Mrs. Gibson, the mother of Mrs. Donald P. Knowles of Moab, was a frequnt visitor in Moab, Mo-ab, where she and her husband hus-band were involved as offi- ' cers of The Knowles Co., operators of the Moab Gambles Gam-bles Store. Ellen Lucille Hoover Gibson Gib-son was born Dec. 15, 1907, at Everton, Mo., the daughter daugh-ter of William H. and Mary Ellen Hoover. As a child she came with her family to Montrose where she was graduated from Montrose High School and where she married Lloyd W. Gibson on Oct. 16, 1927. The couple lived in New England for ten years and then returned west, first to Utah, and then to Colorado, where they were involved in the mink ranching business. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Presbyterian Church in Delta, Del-ta, with Rev. Walter Schaef-fer Schaef-fer officiating. Burial was in the Delta Cemetery. Survivors in addition to her husband, include ' two sons, James G. of Delta and Ronald W. of Montrose; and cne daughter, Mrs. Donald P. (JoAnn) Knowles of Moab. Mo-ab. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Grand of Gunnison and Mrs. Edith Dugger of Kansas City, Ci-ty, Mo.; a brother, Buford Hoover of Los Angeles, California; Cal-ifornia; and thirteen grandchildren. |
