Show Innovative Plans Await Members of AIME in S.L.C. Mining and minerals engineers engin-eers from throughout the world will he meeting to discuss "Minerals in Transition." Transi-tion." Not to he excluded from the technical programming, two speakers have been scheduled for the ladies' sessions. The first, "What' is Ocean Mining?" will he presented by Richard C. Tinsley of Chrysler Corp., Detroit, Mich, and Ta M. Li, technical editor of Mining Engineering, Salt Lake City. Messrs. Tinsley and Li will discuss new technologies of fleen ocean nlinino and view the political outlook for U. S. deep ocean mining interests. The second presentation will be by Robert Woody of the Salt Lake Tribune. He will address the audience on the "Impact of Developing Mines on the Community." The technical session will be held Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon, Sept. 10, in the Salt Palace. The program, which is organized by the Women's Auxiliary of AIMIi, will also feature a luncheon on Thurs- day, Sept. 11. Keynote speaker speak-er at this event will be Richard J. Anderson, Associate Director Direc-tor for Education and Information Informa-tion for liattclle M lorial Institute's Energy Pi gram. He will present an entertaining entertain-ing and informative speech on "Tomorrow's Energy A Career Ca-reer Frontier."
