A number of events are planned in both Green River and Moab in connection with the Shrine Ceremonial, and those events in Moab, particularly the big parade, should be of particular interest to local residents. Charter buses will transport Shriners and their wives from motels in Green River and Moab, back and forth, and to the Ceremonial site, some twenty miles from Moab. In addition to the several hundred hund-red members of the order from the Salt Lake City area, it is expected that a large number will also attend from Temples in Western Colorado and other states. At least fourteen units should take part in the parade, and it is hoped that townspeople will travel downtown to view the spectacular event. Following the Para d e Shriners will board buses for the trek to the Ceremonial site. A little later, wives will board buses and join their husbands at the site for lunch. This will be the first time in Shrine history in Utah, where wives will have had an opportunity to see the costumes, tents, etc., involved in a Ceremonial. The ladies will leave following lunch, for tours of scenic points in the Moab area. The third section of the Ceremonial, not a secret portion, will be held in the Moab City Park, where newly inducted Shriners will be awarded their official Shrine Fezes. A steak fry at the Lions River Park will follow for all involved at 6 p.m. The final official event of the big Shrine weekend will be a ' Sunday morning breakfast, scheduled for the City Park at 9 a.m. Officials from El Kalah Temple were in Moab last weekend, going over final details for the big outdoor event with members of the Arches Shrine Club from Moab.
