Show 2nd Annual Campout Safari Scheduled for Labor Day For the past nine years, Moab has sponsored a one-day Jeep Safari each spring on the day before Faster. This has proven to be so popular that the community is now planning plan-ning a new type of off-road event to be offered for the second time on Labor Day weekend of l-75. The event will be a two-day four-wheeling campout featuring fea-turing two days on remote trails through spectacular can-yonlands can-yonlands country, with a campout along the way. A variety of trails and campsites will be offered with trails through high mountain passes, across lofty plateaus, down rugged canyon systems, and along spectacular rim-lands. rim-lands. Campsites will be at mountain lakes, high overlooks, over-looks, slickrock rims, and desert areas. The two day campout trip will emphasize family recreation, recrea-tion, scenic beauty, challenging challeng-ing trails and campground activities. Highway licensed off-road vehicles and advance registration will be required. Four-wheel drive vehicles will also be required. Moab's Second Annual Four Wheeler Campout will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31 , the first two days of the three day Labor Day weekend. The various trail routes that will be offered will begin at Moab, bright and early on Saturday morning, and end the same place on Sunday evening.
