Show Police Check Accidents During Week Three accidents were investigated inves-tigated in Moab during the last week by Moab Police. On Aug. 4 at 7:15 p.m. in the Hitching Post parking lot, Homer Manson was driving a 1975 Ford pickup and hit a parked 1974 Dodge belonging belong-ing to Grace Holloway, doing about $200 damage to the Holloway vehicle. There were no citations issued as the accident was on private At 12:05 p.m. Aug. 8 on Mill Creek Drive, Donald Merz was driving north on a 1975 Kawasaki when his hat blew down in front of his face. His bike crossed the center line and hit a 1968 Buick driven by Wilda Irish, and both cycle and Buick were totaled. Merz w as cited for failure to keep his vehicfe under control, and no helmet. Aug. 9 at 12 a.m. at the intersection of 1st North and Main, Johnny Watson was driving a 1969 Volkswagen and ran into the rear of a 1974 Chevrolet driven by Leslie Dalton, who had stopped for the traffic light. There was about $500 damage to the Volkswagen and $200 damage to the Chevrolet, and Watson was cited for improper lookout, look-out, causing an accident. |
