Show Moab Ranger Named to Top Dinosaur Post Phillip R. Ivcrsen, Chief Ranger, Canyonlands National Nation-al Park, has received a promotion pro-motion to the position of Superintendent, Sup-erintendent, Dinosaur National Nation-al Monument, Superintendent Bates E. Wilson announced this week. He is scheduled to assume his new duties June 2, and is presently visiting the area for conferences wiLli the park staff and outgoing Superintendent Ted Thomson. Mr. Iversen has been Chief Ranger over Canyonlands, Arches and Natural Bridges National Monuments for the past 18 months. He owns a home in Moab and will be leaving behind memberships on the District Board of the Boy Scouts of America and the Rotary Club of which he is Vice President-elect. He and his wife Patricia, two sons Paul and Patrick, and daughhter Pam have attended St. Francis Episcopal church, where Mrs. Iversen is organist organ-ist and former choir member. mem-ber. Mrs. Iversen is also the president of TOPS, Paul a member of the newly organised organ-ised Interact Club, and Patrick Pat-rick a member of the Junior High School band. |
