Show Squable Ends Game, Devils Aim for League The Moab Red Devils won a non-conference game by default Friday evening when (Carbon high school's team ,was called off the Moab floor by their coach, Tony Welch, former coach at East Carbon. The squabble occurred during du-ring the third quarter while the visiting team led the Red Devils 41 to 29. A technical foul was called on a Carbon player for kicking a Moab player. The Carbon coach intervened, in-tervened, several times, resulting re-sulting in 6 additional technical tech-nical fouls. He called his team off the floor, and forfeited for-feited the game. The Red Devils lost two non-conference games over the holiday season. On the 27th, Duchesne won a Moab-played Moab-played game by an overwhelming over-whelming 84-44 score. Tie Duchesne team ranks high in state standings, and the Red Devils got off to a cold start and never warmed up. The Satans made a better showing against Manti on the 3Qth, but lost the game 50-41. Coach Ward Curtis stated sta-ted his team showed a marked mark-ed improvement at that contest, con-test, however. They scored only 14 points in the first half, but warmed to the occasion oc-casion in the latter portion of the game and proved they may run their competitors a good race in the league season. sea-son.
