Show Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Jerry Doles Funeral services were held Wednesday morning for Jerry Jer-ry Pearl Doles, 47, Castle Valley rancher who passed away Sunday at the Allen Memorial hospital following a lingering illness. Mr. Doles and his late wife moved to Moab eleven years ago, to operate the Doles Ranch at Castle Valley. He was a member of the Episcopal Episco-pal church, and a World War II veteran, serving in the European Theater during the years 1944 to 1945. He was born August 5, 1920, at Fromberg, .Montana, to Pearl Alfred and Millie Holmes Doles. He married Alice Cuthbert; she passed away March 30, 1965. One son, Peter S. Doles, of Moab, survives; also one step-daughter, Mrs. Johannah Bradshaw, of Lincoln, Mass. Other survivors .include two grandchildren; three brothers, broth-ers, Frank, of Somerville, Ore.; Samuel, of Ellensberg, Washington; and Harry, Biil-incs. Biil-incs. Mont.; four sisters. Mrs. Carrie Bill. Seattle, Washington: Washing-ton: Mrs. Hazel Reams. Bill-, ings, Montana; Mrs. Thelinq Walker, Seattle; and Mrs. Jolene Anderson, of St. Paul, Minn. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted at St. Francis Episcopal Epis-copal Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Wed-nesday. The Rev. Joseph F. Hogben officiated. Interment was in a private cemetery at the Doles Ranch beside his late wife, under the direction of the Grani Valley Mortuary. |
