Show Insurance Rates Lowered for Good Grades David L. Bailey, Moab, nienilher of the Utah Association As-sociation of Insurance A-gents A-gents issued a reminder to Utah students that good grades are also ipaid off in lower Insurance rates. IJ-tah IJ-tah Is one of several states and territories where approval ap-proval of the lower rate structure has been granted by the slate Insurance com mis-xioner. The new rate structure will become effective ef-fective October 1, 1!)G7. , Young men and young women over the age of 1G may qualify for lower insurance in-surance rates providing they are either a junior or senior attending a high school full time or are full time students, in a college or university and meet the following scholastic require ments: ' 1. Rank among the upper up-per 20 per cent of his class scholastioally or 2. Have a grade average of "B" or its equivalent or, if the system of letter grading cannot be averaged, averag-ed, no grade shall be below "B", or . -3. Have an average of at least 3 points on all subjects combines in schools using numerical wade, (clnls of A, .1, 2 and 1, or A. I'.e on Hie "Dean List," "Honor Roll" or comparable list Indicating soliohiKii,. achievement. A new statement must be furnished furn-ished on each anniversary date of the policy. This additional . discount niay be combined with dis counts offered by insurance insur-ance companies .to those who have completed, recognized recog-nized driver education courses. The premium discount Is offered as a result of company com-pany studies which show Mt-at there is a distinct relationship re-lationship between good grades and safe driving. Mr. IJailey stated over 400 companies affiliated with the National Bureau of Casualty Underwriters and the National Automobile Underwriters Association are offering the premium discount. |
