Show School Construction Project End Mow In Sight, Survey Shows The end is in sight for construction of the various var-ious school buildings to alleviate al-leviate conjestion in Moab schools. Kindergarten facilities at the two schools are completed, and move of the 190 students into the new buildings will be accomplished ac-complished this weekend. The facilities include one new kindergarten building at the Helen M. Knight, plus three new classrooms which will permit returning return-ing to use as a kindergar ten, a building constructed for that purpose. At Southeast Elementary Elemen-tary two kindergarten rooms will be opened for use, plus one new classroom. class-room. Assistant School Superintendent, Super-intendent, Bill Mcador, ex pressed delight with the new facilities. They in-jclude in-jclude conveniences never before available to the Moab Mo-ab pre-schoolers space, open areas for group work recreation areas, sinks, .rest roomis, black board and tack board space, coat .racks, storage for indivi dual work, and a light airy pastel atmosphere. The renovation of the Junior High School, too, has astounded those who have toured the new facilities. fac-ilities. Completion date and move-in for this unit is set for the weekend of October 7. The former gymnasium of this building has been converted into two large classrooms which may be opened for team teaching; an art room, library sem-jnar sem-jnar and library'- Downstairs Down-stairs there is renovated office space, a principal's office, book store, and nurses room, in addition to the .classrooms. All rooms are accessible through a glassed-in stairway, stair-way, which casts light into in-to both upstairs and downstairs down-stairs hallways. Tho architectural style of the new additions is compatible with the existing exist-ing structure, and the o-verall o-verall effecf is a campus look in which both students stu-dents and teachers may take pride. The gymnasium now un der construction to the west of the main junior high building, is scheduled for completion in November. Novem-ber. After this Is finished, a second phase to remodel dressing rooms in junior jun-ior high will begin, leaving only Star Hall to be com- -pleted with monies voted for the purpose through public vote over a year ago. Mr. Meador compliment ed the students at the junior jun-ior high school for their cooperation during 1ha inconveniencing construction construct-ion period, never once in year, he commented, has construction been delayed " (because of lack of student cooperation.
