Show Dear Sam: f I kept thinking somebody some-body would write you and suggest something be done laibout our trash cans around ar-ound the .City Park. This park of ours is used us-ed by more people than any other place in the city and the cans look bad when they get full, and every ev-ery once in awhile someone some-one sets fire to them. Since all of the cans on Main and Center Street add so much to the city in (general, the same would be true at the park and the park would gleam. About 35 years or so ago the Woman's Literary club (purchased with local do-naiMons, do-naiMons, 2 or 3 of these cans at the park. They are not aware of my thougthits but maybe (?) if nobody else does anything they could take paint brushes and quarts of paint over 'some night!? The little town near where we live in Arizona painted the old oil barrels light green with the slogan, slo-gan, 'Wekrome Stash Your Trash Here" ', in,., white. Red or green with white would really add beauty to an already beautiful congregating place. Sincerely, Mrs. J. W. Corlbin |
