Show A CAMORRIST IS JAILED FOR CONTEMPT VI TER BO, Italy, Aug. 1. The trial of the Camorrists for the murder of (Jena r ro Cuoccolo and Senora Cuoceolo was interrupted today while one of the prisoners was tried, convicted and sen teneed to two months imprisonment for contempt of court. The one to feel the displeasure of the court waa Hal vat ore De Lucia, who was arreated by Maresciallo Capizutti, charged with having been one of those who condemned the Cuoceoloa to death. On examination be said he was a clerk in the employ of the White Star steamship steam-ship line and that he had been mistaken mis-taken for another man by the authorities. In summing up hla defense when interrogated in-terrogated at the trial the man de 'tared : "The truth is that I was arrested because be-cause I refused to buy new drees for the wife of Maresciallo Capintti. ' ' When the proceedings opened today. Capay Fabroni of the Neapolitan carabineers cara-bineers was further interrogated regarding regard-ing the evidence which he haa given against the C'amorriata. He had described de-scribed De Lncia as a supporter of the Camorra when the latter interrupted to ask hew the witness knew that to be tree Kabroni a sewered : "I know it from the Camorriata." De Lucia replied sharply: ' "Ton ara a Camorrist yourself." Public Prosecutor Batoro at one demanded de-manded that the trial be suspended while De Lucia waa tried for contempt of court. President Bianehi agreed and the offending prisoner was forthwith arraigned. Heveral witnesses were called and en the conelnsios of their testimony President Presi-dent Bianehi condemned the defendant to two moatba la pneoo, but allowing him three days la which to make an ap. peal. De Lucia, however, waived the right hf appeal and the way waa cleared for a eontlnuatioa of the Camorrist trial. |
