Show WOMAN PRISONER, SENTENCED, CRIES FOR 100 HOURS CLEVELAND, O., April J 9. Mrs. Lydla Emmons has been crying for more than 100 hours In the county Jail, according ac-cording to the statement made by the jail attendants today. Mrs. Emmons was sentenced to serve eighteen months In the penitentiary for complicity In a "white slave" case. The victim was her fourteen-year-old niece. Roue Carter, now in the city hospital. The prisoner, when sentenced by the Judge, broke down completely and has been crying ever since. She refuses to talk to the attendants and her sobs can be heard night annd day throughout the woman's department of the county Jail. |
