Fire and earth shocks are vying for the destruction of valuable property in cities of the Philippines today. IUolo, capital of Luzon, is burning, and many thousands of persons,' it is reported, are homeless. The blaze is beyond the control of the civil and.military authorities, and much further damage is feared. Temblors occasioned great loss in the prosperous towns of Nueva, Caceres and Tayabas. Details of the destruction de-struction to property and loss of life are lacking. Three severe shocks were felt in Manila also, but it is bejjeved destruction there was not general. MANILA, APRIL 19.
