Show OWN TESTIMONY CONVICTS HIM For Robbing Keith Apartment, Apart-ment, Harry Simmor.s, Out on Parole, Gets 190 Days in Jail. One hundred days in the city Jail and three months in the county Jail was the sentence given by Judge Dlehl yesterday yester-day afternoon to Harry Simmons, Ellas' George Watson, who had been convicted on two charges of tty larceny. Simmons Sim-mons is the young man who was arrested ar-rested in Ogden several days ago charged with having robbed the Keith apartments about three weeks ago. Simeons put up a strong fight for his liberty and tried to lay the blame on a boy named Jarvls, who has been committed com-mitted to the State Industrial school since the robbery. The case against Simmons Sim-mons was clear, however, and he was found guilty on both charges. In passing sentence the Judge informed in-formed the defendant that had there been no testimony but his own he would have been convicted. Simmons is out of the Industrial school on a parole at present pres-ent and will likely be returned to that institution at the expiration of the two Jail sentences. |
