Show DH0IJZE IIZDAL : TO QCOSEVCLT Crowds of Students Stand Throughout Address by ' the President in Cam-, Cam-, bridge, Mass. , BOSTON, Feb. 23. Long- before noon tbe students began to gather at the building where the President was to speak, and .by 2 o'clock the building build-ing was thronged. All seats bad been removed from the main ball as the arrangements ar-rangements were for everybody to stand in order that the largest number num-ber possible might be accommodated. The .students whiled the time singing Harvard songs. The President reached the building at 2:15 o'clock. The board of editors of the Harvard Advocate, with which President Roosevelt was connected during his college coarse, presented President Roosevelt with a bronte medal; following the presentation the President descended to the main ball of the union. A tremendous Harvard cheer greeted him as be proceeded to the platform. Vice-President J. D. White of the Harvard Union, presided and introduced President Roosevelt. |
