OPERATES ON SOUND FINANCIAL BASIS Financially sound and operated on a safe and conservative basis this is the official declaration of Secretary of State and ex-officio Commissioner of Insurance C. S. Tingey regarding the condition of the Continental Life Insurance In-surance and Investment company of this city. An official examination was made of the affairs of the company, and in the opinion of the Insurance Commissioner, the company is. in good standing. Steadily and without a halt the Continental Con-tinental Life, composed in the main of home men and supported by home money, has marched to the front in the life insurance field. Besides doing business in Utah, it is now operating successfully in Wsshington, Oregon, California. Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. John S. 6ook of Goldfield, one of the most prominent bankers in the intermoun-tain intermoun-tain country, has been appointed resident resi-dent agent for Nevada. Formed by local and State men of prominence, guided by men of known integrity ana business experience, the Continental Life has been fortunate, it is said, in securing and holding the confidence and support of the people of Utah and of Salt Lake City in particular. par-ticular.
