Show BIRTHS AGAIN EXCEED DEATHS More Males Than Females Die This WeeK, and Girls Lead Boys in Number of Births. According to the report of tin? itv Board of Health, there were 37 births and 32 deaths in the week ending February Feb-ruary 1. Of the births. 16 were males, and 21 females. In the deaths males exceeded the females 21 fo 11. Fight bodies were sent here for burial. There were reported 17 cases of con tagious and infectious diseases, including includ-ing 1 case of scarlet fever. 7 of diphtheria. diph-theria. 1 of epidemic cerebro meningitis, 1 of whooping cough. 1 of measles, 1 of chickenpox. 3 of mumps and 2 of cere bro spinal meningitis. Six cases of scarlet scar-let fever. 7 of diphtheria and 1 of epi demic cerebro spinal meningitis remain in quarantine now. |
