Another message from the House announced an-nounced passage, under suspension of the rules, of 8. C. R. No. 3, by Lawrence, Law-rence, and also the names of the mem- bers of the committee. The resolution was placed upon its third reading before be-fore the Senste and passed. The President Presi-dent appointed Senators Lawrence, legg, Hollingsworth, Johnson and BulTen to act with Representatives Robinson, Rob-inson, Tolton, Hone, Bowns and Bar-nett, Bar-nett, who were appointed by the Speaker of the House. The committee is empowered to make a thorough investigation in-vestigation and subpoena witnesses in ascertaining the cause of the present coal shortage.
