Show JAIL PERSONNEL SHIFTSSLATED A change In the personnel of the Salt Lake City Jail had been announced an-nounced Thursday by Police Chief William C Webb. Sergeant Golden Height on Monday Mon-day will replace Sergeant Cheu-les Jorgensen Br. as chief Jailer. Sergeant Ser-geant Jorgensen will take Sergeant Height's place as night duty sergeant. ser-geant. Patrolman Joseph Raleigh, now serving as assistant Jailer, wiU be retired on March 1. His place will be taken by Patrolman A. W. Duf-fln. Duf-fln. Patrolman Mark Kartchner already has been assigned to full-time full-time duty in the Jail. Chief Webb aald the addition of Patrolman Kartchner Increased the Jail personnel to four. The three patrolmen will rotate in eight-hour shifts, with Sergeant Height In charge. Edwin G. Woolley Jr., building superintendent of the public safety department will supervise the Jail, giving more time for Chief Webb and Inspector Odes B. Record to devote to other police matters. Mr. Woolley explained that he had been doing this for several week. Patrolman Raleigh, who 1 ever 70 year of age, will have served in the department 30 years on March 1, according to Chief Webb, |
