Show STATE PROVIDES AIRPORTFUNDS Agreement Drawn Up to Speed Project A cooperative agreement between the state aeronautica commission and Salt Lake City corporation for maintenance, construction and Improvements Im-provements at the municipal airport was drafted at the capitol Friday. Written by John D. Rice, deputy attorney general, and E. R. Chrls-tensen. Chrls-tensen. assistant city attorney, the agreement will go to the aeronautics commission and the city commission for execution. Completion of the airport improvement im-provement project now being carried on by W P A ia guaranteed by assuring as-suring funds to match federal money. The state commission will furnish gaaoltne taxes collected at the airport, air-port, tha first payment expected to be 112,000. This money Is to be spent according accord-ing to plans and specifications which are attached to the agreement. The city ia to us the money only at the airport and each 30 days must furnish fur-nish the aeronautica commission with an accounting. The agreement resulted after It becam likely the airport work would be halted by lack of funds. |
