Show Julian Balph Dead. NEW YORK. Jan. xL-JulIan Ralph, the author and war correspondent, died last night at his residence here, aged 60 yearsv Dr. Calvin S. May. who attended Mr. Ralph, gave the cause of death as dropsy, complicated with ulcer of the stomach and enlargement of the liver. Mr. Ralpus was stricken with a hemorrhage 'while he was acting as correspondent with ths British army during the Boer war. A second hemorrhage occurred at St. . Louis Immediately after he had received his appointment ap-pointment as Eastern representative of the St. Louis exposition. Mr. Ralph leaves a widow and live children.. |
