During the rast week there has been a decided increase in the shipment of live stock tcth east and we?t from this point, and the business is still on the increase. Railroad officials state that present conditions indicate that the shipments ship-ments of stock during the next few months will be far in excess of anything ever before experienced by the railroads in this part of the country. The inability of the railroad companies to furnish cars last season to handle han-dle the stock ready for market deferred many shipments, and they are conse quently being called upon to handle the stock that was ready for the market last season, in addition to the unusually large supply that the present season has brought forth. , Moft of these shipments are for the East, but the western coast trade Is a new feature of the stock business that Is rapidly developing, and of late some large orders have been placed with Utah growers by Western packers. This increasein the Western business is due largely to orders for fresh meat that are comlnj In from the new territory In the Pacific The coast States are unable to supply the demand, so Utah Is' being bene- flted. .
