Jones for the purpose pur-pose of discussing a bill they have prepared pre-pared to amend the statutes so as to make It a misdemeanor for boys under the age of 18 years to smoke cigarettes, jnd prescribing a fine or imprisonment for the offense. 4 t . The general opinion was that the passage of this bill would be the most effective s(ep they could take to eradicate eradi-cate cigarette smoking from among the schoolboys, and the bill will probably be introduced some time this wk. Another bill to kefp the boys out of saloons and gambllngrhouses was discussed dis-cussed and is now being prepared.
