Show Cli :::-fjaper Ilaa KEW YORK. Jan. II. James G. Cooper, for mary years connected with the business office of the New York Tribune, is dead. Mr. Cooper began newspaper work sixty-four years a?o. He became connected with the Tribune in 1S61. In June, 1S70, he went to Colorado Colo-rado and became one of the founders and officers of the Greeley Colony. In 1371 and 1871 he served as chief clerk of the House of Representatives of Colorado.. He returned to the services of, the Tribune In 1872. retaining his connection with that paper until five years ago. when his health failed. |
