Show MARKET IS ACTIVE, BUT PRICES SHOW FALLING OFF . Saturday saw the best can which has occurred on the mining exchange since- the early part of the week. The trad-. trad-. Ing was much brisker than usual and an unusually large number of stocks received attention. Prices, "however, " were In general much lower than usual and there were but few stocks which did not show a decline. The general ' trend of the market was decidedly lower. May Day did much more trading than It has for several days, but the prices which prevailed did not rise above 8? cents. Uncle Sam Consolidated fell off to 20 cents with very light trading and Tankee Consolidated waa to be had In the neighborhood of 37 cents. ' Ingot, which has done no business for a long time, evidently had a large order in, which was filled at 2 cents and closed ' with that, price eagerly offered for the stock. , Butler-Liberal was maintained at the price which has been quoted for some daysl3 cents, and Tetro was to be had at 19 cents. . Daly-Judge was very strong, and although al-though the sales were, recorded at H-70, but very little stock waa on the mar-. mar-. ket, and the demand was not filled by - any means. - Mammoth was an exception to the general rule and crept up with good trading to $1.30. New York was weaker than usual and was sold down as low as 43 cents, with much less business done In It than . usual. Wabash fell off from the prices of Ifriday and was sold as low as $L85, although al-though the market was limited. The closing Quotations follow: Bid. Asked. AJax $ .10 $ .11 Alice 85 ....
