Show JOSEPH "WAMTS THE i . , HOUSE TO DO ITS OWN PRINTING. Representative Joseph gave the House something to talk about Friday when he once more roused the discussion of rule 15 of the House rules. The minute clerk, in preparing the rules for publication, inserted in-serted several words in the rule and the House took violent exception to being dictated dic-tated to by Its clerks. . Joseph got the floor and said that he moved that the words "by the House" be Inserted in the rule, which requires that all bills be printed. He explained his motion mo-tion by saying that he bad a duplicating machine in the committee room -that would print the- House bills as quick as a printer could and would save the State much money if It were used. The machine . was exhibited after the session closed and, attracted much favorable fa-vorable comment. ' |
