Show Had the Senate declined to accept the free telephone tele-phone service offered by the rival companies and decided de-cided tp buy the knives and pens usually bought for the use of its members it would have been more entitled en-titled to respect. We fail to see why the Senate of Utah should accept free telephone service. It might as well accept free groceries. The amount saved by not buying knives and pens will not make any material ma-terial difference in the State's finances. The Senate has not been consistent It should quit such hairsplitting hair-splitting and devote Itself td serious work. ' V . . .
