Wells spoke on "The Parents' Duty to the State" fn his most happy vein. He said that to bring up honest, healthful, honorable honor-able children was the duty of parents to the State. The Rev. T. W. Pinkerton told how far the parent should subordinate his will to that of the child. He said that parents should be consistent In their demands upon their children, and said that a six-foot six-foot man who determined to conquer a small boy by physical punishment was a coward. "Do not make detectives of yourselves," your-selves," he admonished parents, "but give a boy his freedom and let him feel the responsibility re-sponsibility for his acts." The musical programme was of exceptional excep-tional merit and was received with enthusiasm |
