Show IRON MOLDERS TO MEET AT CALDER'S Many Prizes Are Hung Up for Winners Win-ners in a Day of Sports and Dancing. The International Iron-Molders' union will given its first excursion and picnic at Calder's park tomorrow afternoon and night. A large crowd is expected. The following list of prizes has been offered of-fered for competition during the day and evening: A trimmed hat to the winner of the foot race for girls from 12 to 15 years old; a chair for the oldest man on the grounds; a picture to the winner of the married men's foot race, seventy-flve yards. The oldest woman on the grounds will get an easy chair. A pair of shoes for first prize and a pair of overalls for second, in the, men's boat race. A suit will go to the boy winning the seventy-nve-yard dash. A sun shade will go to the winner of the race for girls between 15 and 20 years old. The single men's 10O-yard 10O-yard race will be made interesting by a ' prize. A parasol is offered the winner of the married women's foot race, while a fan goes to the second one over the tape. The winner of the boat race for women will get a shirt waist, and the second will get a $2 prize. A pair of Oxfords will be awarded as first prize and a ti prize will go to the second best woman amateur waltzer. Five dollars will go to the best and $2 to the second best gentleman amateur waltser. The winner of the broad Jump will get pair of cuff buttons. The homeliest and the handsomest men will each get a necktie, while a keg of beer will be put up as prise for the tug of war. |
