Show OFFICIAL TIP ON DALY WEST DIVIDEND On authority coming from a director of the Daly West, the Telegram can say today that there will be no Increase in that company's regular dividend of 60 cents per 6hare a month, but that when the surplus of the company warrants, a special or extra dividend will be declared. de-clared. The director quoted above is also authority for the statement that a special dividend of not less than the regular one, and possibly as much as $1 per share Is scheduled for July. It Is the policy of the management in coming to this decision, to maintain a surplus large enough to provide for any emergency, and to enable the company com-pany to continue the' present dividend rate in the face of all fluctuations in the metal market. Should the metals remain at their present figures during the rest of this year. It is thought another an-other special dividend will be declared In December. In this connection the Boston News Bureau says: "At present the Daly West is much more than earning Its $108,000 monthly dividend requirements, and a liberal 'extra' is expected with the regular 60 cents dividend in July. The company is conservatively managed, man-aged, the directors own 60 per cent of the stock, and at $43 it nets an investor 16 per cent. There are no immediate indications of reduced earnings." |
