Donnellan last evening, in Honor of the engagement announcement of . their daughter, Miss Edna,' easily ranks' as the tnost elaborate function of the .social .so-cial season. "Forty guest,s"were at the dinner, and fully two hundred Joined In the dance which followed. The oblong ob-long table at which the guests were seated measured- 40x30 feet and two thousand carnations and fifty dozen roses were spread over the surface. Nothing so elaborate in point of. decorations decora-tions has ever been seen here. The guests at the dinner included intimate friends of the family, and the bachelor omcens of the post who are friends of Lieut. Falls. They were: MaJ. and Mrs. Downey, Mr, and Mrs. Hoyt Sherman, Mr, and Mrs. McCornick, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McQurrin, Mr. and Mrs. Russel L. Tracy, Mr. and Mrs. Daly, Col. Bubb, Capt. Creary, Capt.
