Show KANSAS REPUBLICANS IN STATE CONVENTION WICHITA. Kan., March 9. The Taylor Tay-lor auditorium was crowded to its doors when Chairman Albaugh called the Republican Re-publican State convention to order today. to-day. W. R. Stubbs, leader of the anti-machine, movement, was made temporary chairman.. He delivered an address in which he scored the old machine men and applauded the efforts of the party to throw off bossism. Mr. Stubbs said in part: "The movement which is responsible for the presence of the majority of these delegates here today is, in my Judgment, the product of seed sown and standards raised all over thlf fair land by the greatest President of the great-, est nation In the world today. Committees were appointed and the convention adjourneduntil 2 o'clock. E. W. Hoch of Marlon will be nominated nom-inated for Governor, and the remainder of the State officers will be renominated, renomi-nated, ' f |
