Show EIGHTEEN RECRUITS READY FOR SERVICE Two lads, 15 and 17 years old, this morning applied at the recruiting station sta-tion In the Dooly building for commissions commis-sions in the United States navy. They were B. C. and A. H. Donaldson Donald-son of 182 B street. Upon examination they were found to be physically sound. They were provided with their parents' consent, and so were sworn in as third class apprentices, to serve until they become 21 years old. Charles J. Bush was sworn in as a hospital apprentice and Fred S. Simon as a landsman for training. During the week eighteen men and boys have been enlisted. Accompanied by an officer they will leave tomorrow for San Francisco to enter active service. |
