Show READY TO FERCE A 2,2S0j000-ACRE RANCII Salt Lake Capitalists "Will Spend $20,000 to Inclose Their ' Iffexican Tract. J. D. Wood received a letter from a friend in El Paso, Tex., yesterday containing con-taining a clipping from an El Paso paper describing improvements to be made on the immense ranch owned by Salt Lake capitalists. The members of the syndicate referred to are Mr. Wood. W. S. McCornlck, H. J. Hagenbarth and Ohio capitalists. The clipping says that Mr. Hagenbarth, the manager of the ranch, is in El -Paso with A. W. IVlns. They are making preparations pre-parations to fence the ranch, which will require 600 miles of fence, making it one of the largest pastures in the world. The fencing of the pasture win cost over $20,-000 $20,-000 In gold. The ranch extends from the twelve-mile monument on the line between Mexico and the United States, to the boundaries of Sonora. Mex. The tract is of irregular shape and comprises two and a quarter millions of acres. When the fence is completed it will cost $30,000 and surround a ranch that with Its waterings will be worth about 110,000,000. |
