Show DESERTED FROM ARMY AND TOOK HIS LIFE The identity of the man who committed commit-ted suicide Tuesday by taking a dose of opium, was learned late Tuesday night by Police Sergt Roberts and Patrolman Lincoln. He was Harry J. Joshlyn, who recently recent-ly enlisted in the United States army at Fort Duchesne. He remained in the service only a few days, and then deserted. de-serted. He had been in the city and in hiding for a week or ten day. He had a room at the American house in Commercial street and had told W. F. Beecher, the proprietor of the house, that he had had trouble with an officer at Fort Duchesne, and that if he were caught he would get a term of ten years in the penitentiary. Joehlyn's former home was in Grand Meadows, Minn., where his parents live. They have been notified of Joshlyn's death. |
